watchOS 27 arrives — Siri gets its own app for the first time, adds a Tap gesture, but permanently drops Walkie-Talkie

Apple officially launched watchOS 27 on September 14, covering older supported models, not just Series 12 or Ultra 4.

The highlight is Siri getting its own app for the first time, syncing conversations across iPhone and Apple Watch via iCloud, with a new Siri Modular Watch Face and a new Tap gesture that instantly opens a widget with a single finger tap.

Gone for good is the Walkie-Talkie app, fully removed from the system and unable to be reinstalled. Find My now merges Find Devices, Items, and People into one app. Workout Buddy now runs directly on the watch without needing an iPhone.
