Bloomberg reports Tim Cook and Eddy Cue are personally pushing the project, with a launch not expected before 2028 as AI glasses and camera-equipped AirPods take priority
Apple is developing a screenless health-tracking device similar to Whoop, according to Bloomberg, with a prototype using a fabric strap connected to a small processing module worn on the wrist, alongside a heart sensor similar to the Apple Watch.
Tim Cook and Eddy Cue, head of Services who also oversees the health team, are both reportedly very interested in this project. The latest Apple Watch already has Whoop-like features such as a Readiness Score and Biological Age Estimate.
It's not expected to launch before 2028, since Apple has AI glasses and camera-equipped AirPods queued up first.
