Analysts on the MacRumors forum find Exposure Scopes, Focus Peaking, Highlight Warnings, burst-timer retakes, and aperture-based editing
An analyst on the MacRumors forum going by "pdfu" found code within iOS 27 referencing 5 camera features expected to come with the iPhone 18 Pro: Exposure Scopes (waveform and histogram graphs for precise exposure control), Focus Peaking (highlights in-focus object edges with colored lines), Highlight Warnings (flags overexposed areas), Repeated Self-Timer (continuous-shot timing with automatic reset), and Aperture-Based Image Correction (adjusts correction based on aperture value).
These features aren't usable in the current beta and will be limited to devices shipping with iOS 27. The aperture-based correction feature is a significant signal that the iPhone 18 Pro will have a variable-aperture lens.
